The Cumberland Hotel is very well situated on Scarborough’s South Cliff just a few minutes walk from the spa complex, beach front and town centre, with views over the resort and town from the North facing rooms. With plenty to see and do there is something for everyone; Visit Scarborough Castle or Peaseholme park, with its Japanese gardens and boating lake, take a ride on the North Bay railway or on one of the many local boats, from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the resort. Just a short drive away you will find the historic and vibrant Roman city of York, the whaling port of Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors railway. The hotel has a large modern restaurant with views over the resort, an entertainment room, with dance floor where you will find entertainment on most evenings, a quiet reading lounge and a lift that serves all floors.
