Leisureplex welcomes a new addition to the family.
Leading coaching hotel group, Leisureplex, is delighted to announce that is has added an additional property to its extensive portfolio of British seaside hotels.
The Seabank Hotel in Porthcawl, South Wales will be the 18th Leisureplex Hotel. Its iconic landmark status in a prominent location with breathtaking views from almost all rooms is typical of the chain’s hotels.
Contracts on the 67 bedroomed property exchanged this week and Leisureplex will take full control from 31st March. Leisureplex plans to increase the number of bedrooms to over 90 and refurbish many of the existing rooms as part of its rolling refurbishment programme.
Leisureplex Operations Director Karen Sawbridge said, “We are immensely excited about acquiring Porthcawl’s Seabank Hotel. This stunningly situated hotel is the perfect location from which to explore all that South Wales has to offer. This looks set to be an exciting new era for both Leisureplex and the Seabank.”
With two Blue Flag beaches in the resort, Porthcawl has always offered a delightful seaside stay. A major attraction is the large number of golf courses in the vicinity, including Royal Porthcawl – one of the finest courses in Britain. Porthcawl also offers a wealth of excursion opportunities, including Cardiff, Swansea and the Gower and the perennially popular Tenby.
Managing Director Paul Sawbridge said, “We have been searching for a suitable high quality hotel in South Wales for some considerable time. This landmark property is just a part of a huge programme of continuing investment in Leisureplex Hotels and reflects our confidence in the future of the traditional British seaside holiday.”
Demand for the Seabank is expected to be high and therefore early expressions of interest from Tour Operators and Group Organisers are invited.
